The first electric boat was inaugurated in Amsterdam

It is perfectly quiet and emits only water vapor. Nemo is known as H2 first electric boat has a capacity of 87 passengers and navigate the canals of Amsterdam's historic center.

Nemo prototype ship-H2, for excursions, is powered by fuel cell technology, which convert chemical energy into electricity.

Hydrogen and oxygen in the cells are mixed to produce electricity, which means the boat is moving with 0 emissions to air.
H2 Nemo designer believes that in a few years, boats propelled by this green technology will become the majority in Amsterdam, a city with 125 channels navigate the hundreds of boats every day.
Prototype construction cost 3 million euros, approximately two times more than that of an equivalent boat runs on a diesel engine and Nemo H2 hydrogen refueling needs every day, while an ordinary boat ( and pollutant) their tank once a week.
Those who developed the project but Nemo H2 are confident that, in future, green technologies will become more accessible and more efficient, replacing them while on the pollutant.
