Researchers have discovered a new type of solar cell which is more easily manufactured and requires a cheaper material than the silicon used by now.Those cheaper solar cells are manufactured on the basis of polymers, organic substances, which, leads to a much lower price than those from silicon created from unorganic semiconductors.It is something natural that what is received from nature to be cheaper than something produced by humans through various technologic processes.The polymers types used for creating such cells are of three kinds: one with electron-deficient,one organobor, and a polymer containing a large amount of electrons.The last two types of polymers that we have presented are actually:carbon, hydrogen,sulfur and boron.This type of particles are able to retain the light from about 450 nanometer (violet) and 800 nanometer (red light). What is amazing is that one such cell is formed of a thousand trillion such particles all placed on a surface of 1 inch square.This solar panels will have many more ways to use because they are flexible.Plastic solar cell greatest advantage in these times of financial crisis is that solar panels are much cheaper.
